These Hotlines are provided to DoD personnel and contractor employees to allow an unconstrained avenue for reporting, without fear of reprisal, known or suspected instances of security irregularities and infractions concerning defense-affiliated contracts, programs or projects.

These Hotlines do not supplant contractor responsibility to facilitate reporting and timely investigation of security matters concerning its operations or personnel. Contractor personnel are encouraged to furnish information through their company security representatives (Facility Security Officer). These Hotlines may be used as considered prudent and necessary.

These Hotlines are administered by the Office of the Inspector General, DoD, and that office initiates any required investigative action on the basis of such reports.
